Seeing the Eiffel Tower up close and personal
Every time we hear the word Paris, the Eiffel Tower is always the first thing comes in mind. Isn’t it? Many aspires to visit Paris just to see and witness the grandness of the Eiffel Tower. I guess this iconic landmark is on everyone’s travel bucket list of things to see. Gladly I ticked off this one in mine recently.

My first Eiffel Tower aerial shot
I remember how ecstatic I was when I had the first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower while our plane was touching down. But there’s nothing compare seeing this majestic landmark up close. Derick and I hopped into the metro and made our way to Ecole Militaire station. Which was our closest access to the Eiffel Tower. The metro station was just few steps to the park wherein the tower slowly comes to appear dramatically. Imagine how giddy I was when I finally met the Eiffel Tower in flesh. It’s simply stunning!

We where there exactly on the day of Roland Garros (French Open)
Paris is more than just the Eiffel Tower. This city was called the “City of Love” because of its beautiful architecture, lovely hotels, sidewalk cafe’s, romantic walks along river Seine, fine arts and museums. Let’s not forget the Eiffel tower and its spectacular lights at night. Everyone gets mesmerized by it. That’s why Paris is a popular honeymoon destination.
I know it sounds cliche but I think Eiffel (i fell) in love to this beautiful city. Hahaha. It’s so hard not to fall in love with Paris. There are so many reasons to love about this beautiful and charming city. Aside from the fact that it is one of the most photogenic cities in the world, it also has the romantic vibe that captures everyone’s heart to adore Paris. And YES, Paris captured mine.
I adore Paris so much and I cherish every moment that comes with it. But the whole experience will never be perfectly romantic without the man who made our trip possible. More than Eiffel (I fell) in love with Paris… I fell in love to my man again and again. The one who made my travel dreams come to life. To my loving husband Eiffel for you! Hahaha it may sound corny but I mean it from the bottom of my heart.
Paris we haven’t gotten enough of you. We will see you soon again!
Aww! For sure your husband fell for you, too. Over and over. Hehe! More travels to you both! There is no cure to wanderlust! 🙂

Oh Paris, a place I’ll never get tired of dreaming about. I really hope I can visit soon, with my loved one too. Or maybe by that time I’ll be with my kids, my own family. Great photos, by the way! 🙂 Thanks for feeding my lonely soul.

I hated Paris on my first visit, I was expecting grandeur and a really classy city. What welcomed me was dilapidated buildings, beggars and a bunch of crooks. I had this unrealistic idea of Paris then which unfortunately didn’t meet the reality.
I went back to Paris for a business trip afterwards and on my second visit, I stayed longer as my personal trip. I was no longer expecting the perfect city and explored Paris with an open mind and more realistic views. Needless to say, Eiffel in love with Paris on that second trip too. It is now one of my favorite cities in the world. 🙂

Actually you’re not the only one who had a bad impression about Paris. One of my friends almost got pick-pocketed upon their arrival at CDG airport. The other one was worst because his backpack with his prized possessions got snatched. He was stranded in Paris without anything including his passport.
We were warned prior to our travel to Paris. More or less we know what to expect. My husband and I stayed in Paris for a week before we joined our group tour. With much anticipation, everything went smooth during our stay in Paris and we had fun exploring the city.
Yeah right, it’s better not to put high expectations to each places you’re going to visit. In that way you’ll be surprise of what you will discover rather than getting disappointed.
