Beach Family Bonding: Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu

Cebu is my home. The place where my heart belongs… Sha-lala-lala Cebu Cebu… (singing the famous line of a Cebuano song Cebu . Hahaha! Moving on… Cebu has changed so much since I’ve left. The city becomes a bustling metropolis. New skyscrapers and commercial establishments were rising here and there. Sometimes I get surprised to see things which I never thought Cebu would have.

There are so many things to love about the Queen City of the South. And one of it are the beautiful white sand beaches. Which is something I always look forward every time I go home.

Going home for vacation once a year isn’t enough for me (honestly) but at least I’m thankful to have an opportunity to be with my folks. That’s why it is very important for me to make my vacation worthwhile. And the best way to spend quality time with my family is finding a place where everyone can have fun, relax and and indulged a sumptuous meal.

There are many great venues for family get-together in Cebu, however I personally picked Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island because of its good internet reviews. That made them one of Cebu’s top hotels based in TripAdvisor. Another thing, they have great amenities that surely my folks will love. Also they offered promo packages for the local guests which I took advantage for our stay.

So far I don’t remember any bad experience I’ve encountered staying in one of their hotels and resorts. That’s why I’ve grown to love the Movenpick brand. I guess that pretty much sums up the reasons why I’m curious to experience Movenpick Hotel Mactan.

Here are the things we enjoyed during our stay

*Deluxe Room with Sea View Balcony – the room has beautiful contemporary design and space that opens to a private balcony with a mesmerizing view of the island. Equipped with key features such as LED TV, work desk, complimentary internet access, minibar, tea and coffee facility and luxury bathroom amenities.

The bathroom was very spacious, it has a separate shower area and big bathtub. But for me these two were the coolest items I found inside the bathroom (Chopard shower kit and Nemo). Who wouldn’t enjoy such luxurious treat plus Nemo will keep you company while having a relaxing dip at the tub?  Sorry Rubber-duckie but Nemo was quite irresistible.

*Mesmerizing View – the view from our balcony was stunning. I could spend hours just by sitting there while sipping my cup of tea.

*The Private Beach – it has a white sand beach alongside were sun beds and loungers.

Ibiza Beach Club’s signature cuisine is the Balearic-inspired, 15-course grill, truly a culinary indulgence on another scale with succulent meats and seafood, all marinated and grilled to perfection.

*Game Room – right next to the Sails restaurant was a good size game room that has a choices of board games and big pool-table. Wherein my husband was obviously having a great time.

The Sails the hotel’s all-day-dining restaurant with a mix of worldly flavors and cuisines in both a buffet and á la carte menu. Get a filling of the world’s best, starting with the famous Mövenpick breakfast all the way to our internationally themed dinner buffets.

The Lobby Lounge is an open space where people meet and socialize over coffee and tea. Aside from the selection of baked goods, one of the most anticipated treats that are served up every day are the complimentary sweets served during Chocolate Hour.

The Forum features indoor and poolside lounges where guests can order light snacks, bar chow and tropical sips, alongside liqueurs and whiskey.

Complementary Ice Cream

Aside from the things I’ve listed above guests can also enjoy the gym and have a relaxing retreat at the Spa del Mar. Truly Movenpick Hotel Mactan ensures an enjoyable and relaxing experience for everyone.
